16-2-2026:  According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, a low pressure area over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Westcentral Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal on 2-10-2025 and may cross into the South Odisha-North Andhra Pradesh coasts on 3-10-2025.
