BAYINFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical storm “MATMO” crossed interior part of Guangxi and boundary areas of Northern Vietnam has moved Westwards and continue to cross Northern part of Vietnam. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and cross over Northern Vietnam and boundary areas of Yunnan, China downgraded into a Land Depression this tonight and may cross over Yunnan, China.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7th October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway, Sagaing Regions and Northern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Kayah, Chin, Rakhine States and fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Eastern Shan State. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing Yangon, Bago,Magway Regions and Kayin, Chin, Rakhine and Southern States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 6-8 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Shan State.
