BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” over the South China Sea has moved Westwards. Thereafter, it likely to move Southwestwards and intensify into a Severe Tropical Storm “FENGSHEN” during next 6 hours.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 21st October 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway Regions and Chin, Mon, Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is 100%.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Yangon, Ayeyarwday, Taninthayi Regions. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Mon, Rakhine States.
