1-12-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts almost stationary and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Typhoon “KALMAEGI” Condition

According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “KALMAEGI” over the South China Sea has moved West-Northwestwards and still persists.

Next 36 hours forecast

It is forecast likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may cross the Vietnam coast on night of 6-11-2025.

General Caution

            Due to the reminant of cloud from Typhoon “KALMAEGI”, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States with regionally and isolated heavyfalls in some region during 8-11-2025 to 10-11-2025. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon,Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon,Taninthayi Coasts.
