30-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centered at about 770 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 60 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 170 Nautical miles North of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) during next 24 hrs. Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

 Tropical Storm “KALMAEGI” Condition

According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Typhoon “KALMAEGI” has crossed Vietnam Coasts from the south of Da Nang(near Quy Nhon),Vietnam wich  downgraded a severe tropical storm “KALMAEGI” over boundary area of Vietnam and Laos at last night. The severe tropical storm “KALMAEGI” has moved Westwards, crossing the inetior part of Loas and has downgraded tropical storm “KALMAEGI” in this morning.

Next 12 hours forecast

It is forecast to move West-Northwestwards and may continue to cross boundary area of Laos and Thailand as a Land Depression during next 12 hours.

General Caution

            Due to the reminant of cloud from Tropical Storm “KALMAEGI”, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States with regionally and isolated heavyfalls in some region during 8-11-2025 to 10-11-2025. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach 25-30 mph. Wave height will be about 7-9 feet Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

People should be awared the natural disasters such as the heavy rainfall with strong wind, thunder, Lightning strike, lightning, hails, flash flood and landslide in the hilly areas and near small rivers and to make necessary preparations for inland water transport, domestic flight and irrigation dams.
