SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TO TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 5°C below December average temperatures in Kayah, Kayin, Eastern Shan States, 3°C to 4°C below December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon, Southern Shan States, 2°C below December average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Northern Shan States and 2°C above December average temperature in Kachin State and about December average temperature in Rakhine State. The significant night temperatures were 1.8°C in Hakha, 2.9°C in Loilin, 3.0°C in Pinlaung, 4.0°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 4.5°C in Heho, 5.5°C in Tiddim, 6.4°C in Pyinoolwin, 6.5°C in Mongyang, 7.1°C in Lashio and 7.3°C in Kengtung.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the tropical storm “KOTO” over the South China Sea has downgraded into a tropical depression and it is centered at about 230 Nautical miles Northeast of Nhatrang, Vietnam. It is likely to reach East coasts of Vietnam on 3-12-2025.FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd December 2025: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Northern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Shan States.
