16-2-2026:  According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Depression  Condition

            According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining the Westcentral Bay, North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) has moved South-Southwestwards and has started crossing the coasts of North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and South Andhra Pradesh, India, near Puducherry. It is likely to move slowly Southwestwards and across the inland areas of India, and gradually weaken into a well-marked low-pressure area during next 6 hours.
