10-1-2026 According to the observations at 12:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal(off Northeast Sri Lanka Coast) has moved West-Northwestwards and starts crossing North Sri Lanka coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna as a land depression. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards. Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southwest Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th December 2025: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in  Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Yangon, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, Eastern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Taninthayi Region. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
