BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 15:30 hours MST today, the Land Depression which crossed the North Sri Lanka Coast between Trincomalee and Jaffna has moved West-Northwestwards slowly and crossing North Sri Lanka. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards. Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11th January 2026: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Yangon,Bago Regions and Kayah State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 5-7 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 11th January 2026: Generally fair weather.
