19-2-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west–northwestwards towards Sri Lanka and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours.  Weather is  partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and over the South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain have been scattered in Southern Shan State and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon, Eastern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below February average temperature in Chin State and 2°C above February average temperatures in Yangon, Mandalay Regions and Kayin, Northern Shan States, 3°C to 4°C above February average temperatures in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Mon, Eastern Shan States, 5°C above February average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Southern Shan State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 1.3°C in Hakha, 6.2°C in Tiddim, 7.0°C in Mongyang, 7.8°C in Putao, 8.0°C in Lashio, 8.2°C in Mingin, 9.0°C in Machanbaw, 9.1°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 9.8 °C in Loilin and 10.0°C in Hsipaw. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded 1.38 inches in Pyinmana(Walgyi) and 0.04 inch each in Tatkon, Pyinmana, Loikaw, Taunggyi and  Pinlaung.

BAY IN FERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th February 2026: Isolated light rain are likely in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayah, Shan States. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State.
