19-2-2026 According to the observations at 15:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west–northwestwards towards Sri Lanka and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours.  Weather is  partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and over the South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, weather has been generally fair in Magway, Sagaing Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Northern Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 2°C below February average temperatures in Chin, Rakhine States and 2°C above February average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Bago Regions and Mon State and 3°C to 4°C above February average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 1.0°C in Hakha, 5.5°C in Namsan (Southern Shan), 6.0°C in Tiddim, 7.1°C in Hsipaw, 7.8°C in Heho, 8.0°C in Mongyang, 8.1°C in Lashio, 8.8°C in Putao, 8.9°C in Loilin and  9.3 °C in Pinlaung.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th February 2026: Isolated light rain are likely in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is 60%. Weather will be generally fair in Bago, Lower Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Northern Shan State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. 

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 3-5 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
