SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine, (Northern and Southern) Shan States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were 3°C below February average temperature in Mandalay Region, 2°C below February average temperatures in Magway Region and Kachin, Rakhine States and 2°C above February average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin, Eastern Shan State, 3°C above February average temperature in Mon State and about February average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were 4.0°C in Hakha, 4.3°C in Mongyang, 5.9°C in Namsan(Southern Shan), 6.7°C each in Heho and Lashio, 6.8°C in Hsipaw, 7.7°C in Loilin, 8.0°C in Tiddim, 9.0°C each in Pyinoolwin, Monyin and Pinlaung and 9.2°C in Putao. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was 1.69 inches in Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th February 2026: Scattered rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and isolated rain or thundershowers in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
