SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED FROM YESTERDAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T TODAY MORNING 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past 24 hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated in Chin, Mon States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were 2°C above April average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and Mon State, 2°C below April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Kayah States, 3°C to 4°C below April average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin, (Southern & Eastern)Shan States and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were 40.8°C in Minbu, 40.4°C in Chauk, 40.3°C inTheinzayet, 40.0°C each in Pakokku, Taungdwingyi, Myinmu, 39.8°C in Zaung Tu, 39.7°C in Bago, 39.6°C in Sinbyugyun, 39.5°C each in Myingyan, Nyaunglaybin, Tharrawady and Zalun on 10-4-2026. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were 0.79 inch in Mohnyin, 0.28 inch in Machanbaw, 0.16 inch in Mogaung, 0.12 inch in Putao, 0.08 inch each in Homalin and Mawlaik and 0.04 inch in Myitkyina.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the Central Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th April 2026: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions, Degree of certainty is 80%. Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Kayin, Chin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about 4-6 feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Mandalay, Bago, Magway, Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon, Shan States.
