SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, weather has been partly cloudy in Taninthayi Region, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and (2°C) above March average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, (Eastern and Southern)Shan and Chin States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) each in Chauk and Kawkareik, (40°C) each in Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Shwekyin, Phyu, Bawlakhae and Mawlamyine. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Putao (0.91)inch and Machanbaw (0.71)inch.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th MARCH, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Ayeyarwady Region, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
