28-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast has moved North- Northwestwards and is crossing near Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is centered at about 805 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 225 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry (India). It is likely continue to move North-Northwestwards and across eastern parts of Sri Lanka Coast and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and reach over the North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India.  Weather is a generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kayah State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above April average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk, (43°C) in Myingyan and (42°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan and Sinphyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Bawlakhae (0.43) inch, Mindat (0.15)inch, Gangaw (0.12)inch and Tamu and Kyauktaw (0.08)inch each.  

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and North Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24thAPRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
