30-11-2025:According to the observations at 10:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “DITWAH” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts has moved Northwards and it is centered at about 770 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 60 Nautical miles Southeast of Puducherry (India) and 170 Nautical miles North of Trincomalee(Srilanka). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts(India) during next 24 hrs. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the  Andaman Sea still persists. It is likely to further intensify into a depression. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Bay of Bengal

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 30thAPRIL, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Shan, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway and Bago Regions, Kayah State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h.  Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (4 - 6)feet elsewhere in Myanmar waters.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States.
