Southwest monsoon is likely to Southern Myanmar Areas during (16-20) of May. A low pressure area may form over the South Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a depression. During this monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate. Weather will be partly cloudy over North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
Rain Conditions and Rainy Days
Above normal rain are likely in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon State about normal in Sagaing, Magway Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States.
Rainy days are expected about (5) to (8) days in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon State and about (2) to (4) days in Sagaing Mandalay, Magway Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States.
