1-12-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts almost stationary and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTILAFTERNOON OF THE 6th JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kayah and Kayin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Yangon Regions and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h.  Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters.
