25-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca has intensified into a depression. It is centered at about 285 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 50 Nautical miles West-Northwest of Penang(Malaysia), 260 Nautical miles East of Banda Aceh (Indonesia) and  470 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar(India).According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Extreme Southern parts of India, Comorin Area and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and Sri Lanka now lies over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of South Sri Lanka. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and become Well Marked Lowe  pressure Area during next 24 hours and further intensify into a depression during next 48 hours.    . Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th JUNE, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern) Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic and off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be  moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9) feet in Deltaic and off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (5 - 7) feet in Gulf of Mottama and off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
