1-12-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts almost stationary and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 13th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions and scattered in Naypyitaw, (Southern and Eastern) Shan and Kayah  States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine State, isolated heavy falls in Yangon Region, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10 - 12) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (8 - 11)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.
