27-11-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” crossed in the interior of Indonesia has recurved and moved South-Southeast and now lies again over Northeast of Indonesia and adjoining the Strait of Malacca. It is centered at about 360 Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 140 Nautical miles Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 50 Nautical miles Southeast of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  460 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka has further intensified into a Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Sri Lanka coast.  It is centered at about 800 Nautical miles South-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 180 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Tricomalee(Srilanka), 395 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(India). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy and over the over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Ayeyarwady Region and Mon State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Kamamaung (5.40)inches, Hlaingbwe (4.21)inches, Tiddim (3.62)inches, Paungbyin (3.46)inches, Shwegone (3.12)inches, Kawkareik (3.07)inches, Tamu (2.95) inches, Mawlaik (2.87)inches, Myawaddy (2.64)inches, Falam (2.52)inches, Shan-Ywar-Thit (2.34)inches, Kyauktaw (2.24)inches, Paletwa (2.13)inches and Phyu (2.01)inches.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (13:30) MST today, the tropical depression over the South China Sea (Gulf Tonkin) and it is centered at about (215)miles South of Nanning(China). It is forecast to move East- Northeastwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be  scattered in Magway Region and Northern Shan State and fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Kayin State and  isolated heavy falls in Bago Region and Mon State. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 -13)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
