26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and isolated  heavy falls in Sagaing, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and  Mon State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Launglon (6.69) inches, Dawei (6.30)inches, Coco Island (5.40)inches, Yay (4.22)inches, Hainggyigyun (3.74)inches, Mingin (3.11)inches, Mawlaik (2.84)inches, Chaungsone (2.72) inches, Kyeikkhame (2.52)inches, Hpapun (2.32)inches, Gwa (2.24)inches, Shan-Ywar-Thit (2.22) inches, Tamu (2.13)inches, Kalewa (2.00)inches, Putao (1.89)inches, Mudon (1.85)inches, Mawlamyine (1.78)inches,  Labutta (1.77)inches, Myeik (1.74)inches, Belin and Theinzayet (1.73)inches each.  

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 7thAUGUST, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavy falls in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters.  Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 - 12)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (6 - 9)feet in off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Mon State.
