26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong to vigorous elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (5.-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts.
