27-10-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “MONTHA” over the Southwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestwards and still persists. It is centered at about 530 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 240 Nautical miles East of Chennai(India), 260 Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada (India). It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and intensify into Severe Cyclonic Storm on 28-10-2025 and cross Andhra Pradesh Coast on that night.

Bay of Bengal Condition

Two Low Pressure Area may form over the Andaman sea and Bay of Bangle. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy Day

Above normal rain are likely in Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Shan, Kayin and Mon States and about normal in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States.

Rainy days are expected about (4) to (6) days in Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Kayin and Mon States and about (1) to (3) days in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States.

Night Temperature

Night Temperature will be (1.5 °C) above normal temperature of January  in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin and Mon States and about normal in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Regions,  Kachin,  Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah States.

Fog Condition

Foggy days will be expected about (15) to (22) days in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and about (7) to (14) days in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Regions, Rakhine States.
