SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, scattered in Chin State and isolated in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above March normal temperature in Yangon Region, (3°C) to (4°C) below March normal temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region, Northern Shan and Chin States, (8°C) below March normal temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and about March normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (38°C) each in Nyaunglaybin and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Machanbaw (0.51)inch, Putao (0.23)inch, Tiddim and Hkamti (0.20)inch each, Homalin (0.16)inch, Hakha and Pinlaebu (0.12)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd March, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Chin State and isolated in Northern Shan State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
