24-11-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Strait of Malacca still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and isolated in Lower Sagaing Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State. Weather has been generally fair in Magway Region and Kayin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were  (3°C) to (4°C) above April normal temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and (2°C) above April normal temperatures in Bago and Yangon Regions, Kachin and (Northern and Southern)Shan States, and about April normal temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Chauk, (44°C) each in Nyaung Oo and Bawlakhae and (43°C) each in Monywa, Myinmu, Myingyan, Tada U, Magway, Taungdwingyi, Gangaw, Pauk and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Myitkyina (0.51) inch, Mawlaik (0.39) inch, Katha (0.24)inch and Homalin, Pinlaebu and Kanbalu (0.08) inch each.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th April, 2019: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Shan State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing and  Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States.
