26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A low pressure area may form over the Bay of Bengal. Monsoon will be moderate.

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

Rain will be expected above normal in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Northern Shan and Chin States, below normal in  Lower Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions and about normal in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Eastern and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States.  

Rainy days will be expected 7 to 9 days in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and  Mon States and 4 to 6 days in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions and Kayah State.
