8-1-2026 : According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and it is centered at about 735 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 250 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 455 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (13:30) hrs MST today, yesterday's the tropical storm(Wipha) had crossed over Vietnam Coasts near Hanoi, it situate over Laos as a Land Depression. It is moving slowly West- Southwestwards and is forecast to weaken.

General Caution

Due to the Land Depression, rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with regionally and isolated heavyfalls and strong wind during next (48) hours.

Frequent squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10-15) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

          Due to the strong wind with heavy rainfall, people should be awared flash flood and landslide near the hilly areas and also small rivers.
