16-2-2026:  According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

                    A Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into the Depression. During this monsoon period, monsoon will be moderate to strong.

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

Rain will be expected above normal in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Kayin and Mon States and about normal in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah.

Rainy days will be expected 8 to 10 days in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and  Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and  about 5 to 7 days  in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Northern and  Eastern Shan, Chin and Kayah States.
