 25-7-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 18 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to cross Genetic West Bengal, North Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining North Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Flood condition of Sittoung River

  According to the (14:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Sittoung River at Madauk has exceeded by about (4) feet above its danger level. It may remain above its danger level during the next (3) days.

Flood condition of Shwegyin River

  According to the (14:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Shwegyin River at Shwegyin has exceeded by about (1½) feet above its danger level. It may remain above its danger level during the next (2) days.

Advisory

  It is especially advertised to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Madauk and Shwegyin Township to take precaution measure.
