26-11-2025:According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Cyclonic Storm “SENYAR” over the Strait of Malacca and adjoining Northeast Indonesia has moved West-Southwestwards and start to cross coastal areas of Indonesia. It is centered at about 305Nautical miles South of Kawthaung (Myanmar), 155 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Penang(Malaysia), 45 Nautical miles East of Kuta Makmur(Indonesia) and  395 Nautical miles Southeast of Car Nicobar (India). According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low pressure Area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas of Southeast Sri Lanka still persists. It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal condition

A low pressure area may form over the Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a depression. Southwest monsoon is likely to withdraw from Central Myanmar areas during (21-24) of September, Deltaic areas during (25-30) of September. Monsoon will be weak to moderate. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the North Bay and Central Bay of Bengal.

 

Rain Condition and Rainy days

 Rain or thundershowers will be expected below normal in Upper Sagaing, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and about normal in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Kayah States.

 Rainy days will be expected about (6) to (8) days in  Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and about (3) to (5) days in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, (Northern and Eastern)Shan and Kayah states.
