22-10-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal (off Tamil Nadu coast, India) still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and may across North Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and South Andhra Pradesh coasts, India during next 24 hours. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Early Warning For Weather Events During The Pre Monsoon Season  No.(5)

1.         During the Pre Monsoon Season (from May to before the onset of Southwest Monsoon into Myanmar), strong wind accompanied with hails, thunder, lightning and isolated rain or thundershowers are likely in the afternoon or evening in the whole country due to the unstable air conditions and convective cloud by gradually rising day temperatures. Surface wind speed in strong wind may reach (35)mph to (40)mph.

2.         Public is advised to take necessary awareness with the weather events during the Pre Monsoon Season (from May to before the onset of Southwest Monsoon into Myanmar).
