8-1-2026 : According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and it is centered at about 735 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 250 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 455 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

          A low pressure area may form over the South Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a depression. Weather will be Partly cloudy to cloudy over in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

 

Rain Conditions and Rainy Days

Rain or thundershowers will be  likely above normal in Sagaing, Kachin, Northern Shan and  Chin States and about  normal in Naypyitaw, Mandalay,  Magway, Bago, Yangon and  Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Southern and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah,  Kayin and Mon states.

Rainy days will be  expected about (4) to (6) days in Upper Sagaing and  Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin and Kayin States and about (1) to (3) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and  Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah and Mon states.

Day temperature will be (1.5 °C) above normal of May average maximum temperature in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin and Mon States and about normal in Naypyitaw, Sagaing and Mandalay, Magway, and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin  Shan, Chin, Rakhine and Kayah states.
