17-2-2026:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Low Pressure Area Condition

          According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal during next (12)hrs and a Cyclonic Storm on (16.5.2020). It is very likely to move Northwest wards initially and then recurve North-Northeast wards towards North Bay of Bengal after(17.5.2020).
