10-1-2026 According to the observations at 17:30 hours MST today, the Land Depression which crossed the North Sri Lanka has been moved West-Northwestwards slowly and continue to move West-Northwestward and gradually weaken during next 12 hrs. Weather is cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

                According to the (12:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of  Ayeyarwady River at Katha is observed as about (3) feet below its danger level. It may reach its danger level during the next (3) days.

                It is especially advised to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas at Katha Township to take precaution measure.
