16-2-2026:  According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Flood condition of Ayeyarwady River

     According to the (14:30) hrs M.S.T observation today, the water level of Ayeyarwady River at Shwegu has reached its danger level. It may continue to rise from the present water level about (3) inches during the next (1) day and may remain above its danger level.

Advisory

    It is especially advertised to the people who settle near the river banks and low lying areas in Shwegu Township to take precaution measure.
