It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Bay of Bengal Condition

A low pressure area may form over the Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a depression. Monsoon will be strong over the Andaman sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition

Rain or thundershowers will be likely above normal in Southern and Eastern Shan and Kayah States, below normal in Rakhine State and about normal in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Kayin and  Mon States.

Rainy days are expected about (7) to (9) days in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Southern and Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and about (4) to (6) days in Nay Pyi Taw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State.
