13-9-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal (Off North Andhra Pradesh - South Odisha coasts, India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and across South Odisha and adjoining North Andhra Pradesh and South Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (06:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure area over East central Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Andaman Sea still persists. It may further intensify into a depression over Central Bay of Bengal during next (12)hours.

General Caution

          Due to the low pressure area, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls and isolated heavy falls. Occasional squalls with rough seas are likely off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h.  Wave height will be about (8-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts during commencing today morning to (13.10.2020).

Advisory

Due to the low pressure area, people should be aware heavy rainfall with strong wind, flash flood and landslide near the hilly areas and also small rivers.
