17-11-2025:  According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay of Bengal(off Sri Lanka Coast) has reached over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Sri Lanka Coast. It is likely to move slowly West-Northwestwards during the next 24 hours.. Weather a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

   The water levels of Ayeyarwady River are forecast to fall below the present water levels by about (1-1½) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu and Katha, and about (1½-2½) feet at Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing, Pakokku, Nyaung Oo, Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun.

    The water levels of Chindwin River are forecast to fall below the present water levels by about (1-2½) feet at Hkamti, Homalin, Phaungpyin, Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa.
