1-12-2025: According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal, North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts almost stationary and it is centered at about 750 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island(Myanmar), 75 Nautical miles Northeast of Puducherry (India) and 20 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India). It is likely to move nearly Northwards parallel to North Tamil Nadu- Puducherry coasts and South Andhra Pradesh coasts(India) and gradually weaken into a Depression during next 12 hrs. Weather is generally fair over the Andaman Sea, cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

            According to the observations at (02:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm (Burevi) over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Westwards and crossed Sri Lanka coast near Northern Trincomalee and now lies over Sri Lanka.

            Cyclonic Storm (Burevi) is located at Latitude (8.9) degree North and Longitude (81.0) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (996) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (50)miles per hour at (02:30) hrs MST today.

During next (12)hrs forecast

            The Cyclonic Storm (Burevi) is forecast to move West-Northwestwards continuously and thereafter, into Gulf of Manner and adjoining Comorin area on today morning.
