8-1-2026 : According to the observations at 15:30 hrs MST today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and it is centered at about 735 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco- Island (Myanmar), 250 Nautical miles Southeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka) and 455 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Puducherry(Sri Lanka).Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay, partly cloudy over the Central Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

  1. The Sea Surface Temperature (SST) over Tropical Pacific Ocean near the Equator are moderate La Nina in current conditions. According to the International Meteorological Agency, Numerical Weather prediction models are expected to reach slight to moderate La Nina in February.
  2. Although, the La Nina conditions occur at Pacific Ocean, decreasing night temperature, strong Easterly Waves and Untimely Rainfall conditions will be occur in Myanmar due to the Strong northeast monsoon.
