It is likely to move west–northwestwards towards Sri Lanka and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean during next 24 hours. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (13:30) hrs MST today, due to the western disturbances and convergence of warm air from Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and cold air from East, rain or thundershowers are likely to be scattered in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and (Eastern and Southern) Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States from (21.3.2021) to (24.3.2021).
