 25-7-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 18 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to cross Genetic West Bengal, North Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining North Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (18:00) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Andaman Sea still persists.

General caution

Due to the low pressure area, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Nay Pyi Taw, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet off and along Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and Mon-Taninthayi Coasts during (3.4.2021) to (7.4.2021).

Advisory

Due to the low pressure area, people should be aware rain or thundershowers with strong wind and lightning and domastic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
