26-10-2025:According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is centered at about 400 Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 430 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India), 460 Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada (India). It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may intensify into a deep depression next 6 hours, Cyclonic Storm may form over the Southwest Bay on 27-10-2025, Severe Cyclonic Storm may form on 28-10-2025 and may cross Andhra Pradesh Coast on that night. Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay, partly cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

Early Warning For Weather Events During Pre Monsoon Season and Monsoon Onset

1.         During the Pre Monsoon Season (from mid May to before the onset of Southwest Monsoon into Myanmar), strong wind accompanied with hails, thunder, lightning and isolated rain or thundershowers are likely in the afternoon or evening in the whole country due to the unstable air conditions and convective cloud by gradually rising day temperatures. Surface wind speed in strong wind may reach (35)mph to (40)mph.

2.         Public is advised to take necessary awareness with the weather events during the Pre Monsoon Season (from mid May to before the onset of Southwest Monsoon into Myanmar) and domestic airlines and cruises are also advised to take precautionary measures.
