25-7-2025: According to the observations at 05:30 hrs MST today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to continue to move west-northwestwards and further intensify into a Depression over West Bengal, India and Bangladesh Coasts during next 18 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to cross Genetic West Bengal, North Odisha, Jharkhand and adjoining North Chhattisgarh during next 2 days. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

A strong earthquake of magnitude (6.9) Richter Scale with its epicenter outside Myanmar (Qinghai, China), latitude 34.60°N, longitude 98.29°E, depth (8) kilometers, about (627)miles north of Myitkyina seismological observatory was recorded at (00)hr (34)min (14)sec M.S.T on 22nd May, 2021.
