It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining West Bengal, India and Bangladesh coasts still persists and it is forecast weaken gradually.

General caution

Due to the Low Pressure Area, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States and isolated to scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine States during next (48) hrs.
