17-2-2026:According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay of Bengal, a few cloud over the Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal Odisha - North coastal Andhra Pradesh, India still persists. It is likely to intensify into a depression during next (24) hrs and continue to move west-northwestwards and will cross near Odisha, India.
