16-2-2026:  According to the observations at 13:30 hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over the East Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move west–northwestwards and further intensify over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean on 18-2-2026. Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

According to the observation at (09:30)hrs MST today, a low pressure area has formed over the East central Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal, Northern part of Rakhine coast. It is likely to move West-Northwest wards and become Well marked low pressure area during next (12)hrs and concentrate into a Depression during next (36)hrs.

            Due to the wave, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States with likelihood of regionally and isolated heavy falls with strong wind during today morning to(20.8.2022).
