2-9-2025: According to the observations at 17:30 hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely  to further intensify during next 24 hours. Thereafter, it  is likely  to move  west-northwestwards and cross Odisha, India, during next 48 hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

10 Days water level forecast

Water level forecast for First (10) days of June 2017

        The water levels of Ayeyarwady river are forecast to rise above the present water levels about  (8 - 10) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu and Katha, about (5-7) feet at Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku and Nyaung Oo, and about (3 - 5) feet at Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Pyay, Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalun during the first (10) days of June.

          The water levels of Chindwin River are forecast to rise above the present water levels about (8 -11) feet at Hkamti, Homalin and Phaungpyin, and  about (5-7) feet at Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa during the first (10) days of June.
