Late Monsoon Period Forecast
Late Monsoon period is a period starting from 1st September to the date of Monsoon withdrawal from the Whole Country.
Withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon
Southwest monsoon is likely to withdrawal from:
- Northern Myanmar areas during (13-18) of September
- Central Myanmar areas during (19-24) of September
- Deltaic areas during (25-30) of September
- The Whole country during (1-7) of October
Bay of Bengal condition
Four Low Pressure Areas may form over the Bay of Bengal and two may further intensify into depression. Monsoon will be weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
Rainfall condition
Rain will be expected above normal in Taninthayi Region, below normal in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan States and about normal in Nay Pyi Taw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
